We love talking about what people did to us. We're not always as eager to talk about what we did to them.
This week, we're having an uncomfortable but necessary conversation about accountability. Not every failed friendship, strained family relationship, or ended romance is the result of someone else's actions. Sometimes we were defensive. Sometimes we avoided hard conversations. Sometimes we crossed boundaries, failed to communicate, or expected grace we weren't willing to give.
Growth requires the courage to look in the mirror and ask: What part did I play?
This episode isn't about shame or self-blame. It is about self-awareness. Healing doesn't just happen when we identify what hurt us. It also happens when we acknowledge how we've hurt others and choose to do better.
Accountability isn't an attack on your character. Accountability is an invitation to grow.
