The Bible refers Christians as the Light of the World or the Salt of the Earth. What does it mean to be Christian? Did you know that many who call themselves Christians are not?
In this time of apostasy, many call themselves Christians, however, many do not believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are going to deep dive into the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Biblical definition of Christianity.
We are going to take a serious look at the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what one needs to believe to receive salvation of their sins and ultimately spend eternity in Heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
As Chrisitans we are the light of the world, the temple of God. We shine brightly into the dark spaces of this world. At times this world is scary. We are to shine brightly even when Satan tries to snuff that light out.
This isn't about boasting or saying look at all the good things I've done! This is about building a relationship with Jesus and letting him develop a spirit of humility within you.
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We CANNOT get to Heaven by our good works alone. We cannot buy or earn our own. It is because of your faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that you are saved from your sins.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Matthew 7:7
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
We are just passing through. This is not our home. I consider Earth as a moment in time that we exist to make a choice.
We live a beautiful life and become husbands, wives and parents. We experience this life but we are tasked with a choice.
God has went to great lengths to make sure we have had the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus.
Jude 1:17-25
But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to pr
