Tyler began his collegiate career at St. John’s University, followed by University of Michigan. During his time in Michigan, Tyler racked up a number of awards including Big Ten Player of the Year and All American in 2013. Tyler graduated as the program’s eighth all-time leader in assists and was one of four players in University of Michigan history to be named All-Big Ten in three seasons. A top midfielder in his class, Tyler’s gritty work ethic brought him across the United States professional playing ranks from the MLS to USL.
