Welcome to Nuanced Beauty!
Today we are looking at the question: What are some practical ways to get better at nuance?
I've found that books and podcasts have been a consistent influence in my life that have shaped my thoughts, stretched my curiosity, and changed me mostly for the better.
Why read a book? Consider this a gentle nudge to get you to WANT to go pick up a book if you haven't done so in a long time.
Yes, I'm suggesting you listen to a podcast... on a podcast. I'll share a little story on what got me into podcasts, and focus my point on us broadening our horizon to listen to a wider range of topics. I provide a decent list of the many topics worth exploring and the great podcasts I've listened to over the years.
The point is not to compare or measure up to some golden standard here. It's to have interesting, nuanced conversations with beautiful people. And these tools can be helpful to expand our own thoughts.
And for the Book Recommendation:
Farsighted: How we Make the Decisions That Matter the Most by Steven Johnson
Thanks for listening! Please rate and review the podcast to help me reach more listeners, share it with a friend, or send me an email with your feedback: [email protected] You can also find me on instagram: @nuanced_beauty
