We spoke with 19 year old, DePaul University student, Bushra Amiwala, a young leader who announced her candidacy back in March of 2017 for Cook County Commissioner of the 13th district. We were pleased to have her in-studio to talk about what motivated her to seek public office, what challenges and opportunities she sees in the 13th district, and how her candidacy resonates with other young people.
