In this episode we talk with Cook County States Attorney Kimberly Foxx, the County's first African American State's Attorney, who at the time of this broadcast has been in office for 9 months & 19 days. Cook County has the 2nd largest prosecutors office in the country, and under her leadership has reevaluated its response to Juvenile Justice, Gun Violence, Immigrant Services, the Felony Theft Threshold, and community engagement. We also talked about her deliberate cultivation of diversity in an office that has historically lacked in this area, and Ms. Foxx also gave advise to aspiring prosecutors hoping to work for the Cook County States Attorney's office.
