Taken from their album Swagger, it was released on July 1, 1994, and reached number 8 in the UK singles chart."Teardrops" appeared on Womack & Womack's fourth studio album, Conscience in 1988. The songwriters Cecil and Linda Womack, also served as the producers of the track alongside Chris Blackwell.
