Today we are joined by the lovely & talented Mary Smit, who shares her passion for the hair and makeup department (often referred to as HMU.) She talks about being educated & prepared, but also willing to listen to the suggestions of others - even those who have less experience than you do. She gives us a breakdown of the HMU department, and a breakdown of her process from Pre-Production through Production. She also talks about working with the actors to make sure they are comfortable with they way they look, and to avoid any allergies they may have. Including some creative ways to make mud/dirt with food items!
