After beginning his career as a firefighter in the late 1990s, Matt discovered a passion for real estate investing that would eventually reshape his life. He started by purchasing multiple properties through traditional channels, but about two decades ago he shifted his focus toward the powerful, lesser-known world of tax deeds and tax liens—a move that opened new doors and transformed his investing strategy. When Matt retired from firefighting, his newfound free time allowed him to reconnect deeply with family—an experience he calls priceless. But after a few months of enjoying his presence a little too much, his wife lovingly encouraged him to find additional outlets for his energy and expertise. Since then, and with the guidance and support of the Ninja community, he has dedicated himself to coaching others through group calls, helping investors navigate and succeed in the tax deed and lien space. The success stories he hears from those he’s helped—newfound confidence, life-changing deals, and empowered investors—continue to fuel his passion.
