This week, Allison and Max talk about two women who endured many dangers on their way to breaking barriers. The first, a young girl in the newly desegregated American south, needed a federal escort just to get to school; the second, a woman born and raised in poverty, rose to become the first woman to serve as principal chief of the Cherokee Nation: Ruby Bridges and Wilma Mankiller.
