Dr. Todd A. Finkle recently won a national book award for his recent popular book titled “WARREN BUFFETT: INVESTOR AND ENTREPRENEUR” published by Columbia Business School Publishing, which has been translated into 11 languages and will be an audiobook in November 2023.
The book is one of the most up-to-date biographies of Warren Buffett that traces his entrepreneurial roots from selling gum door-to-door during childhood to creating his partnership, to forming Berkshire Hathaway and building it into a global conglomerate through the imaginative deployment of financial instruments and creative deal making.
It also evaluates Buffett’s investment methodology and mistakes, behavioral biases, Charlie Munger, and history of Berkshire Hathaway. Dr. Finkle, who grew up in Omaha and went to high school with Peter Buffett, Warren’s son, has made 6 visits to see Buffett with students and went out to lunch with him 3 times. He also attended the last 14 shareholder meetings (excluding COVID, which he watched online).
Dr. Finkle devotes valuable information on how to live a better life throughout the book through lessons and examples. Dr. Finkle is a pioneer and innovator in the field of entrepreneurship education founding two nationally ranked programs. He also has over 39 years of investment experience and is currently the Pigott Professor of Entrepreneurship at Gonzaga University.
