Why does God discipline His children? Is it punishment—or something far deeper?

Tonight we will see from Scripture that God’s discipline is never random or cruel. It is purposeful, loving, and rooted in our identity as His children ❤️. Through trials, correction, and even suffering, the Lord works to keep us from sin, grow us in holiness, and draw us closer to Christ.

The Bible reminds us that the Lord disciplines those He loves, just as a faithful father disciplines his children 👨‍👧‍👦. Even when discipline is painful, it is evidence that we belong to Him and are being shaped for His glory.
