In this episode we shed some light on trauma through all warm and cozy things a.k.a Hygge. Alyssa is a a Licensed Professional Counselor and provide counseling to adults, children, and adolescents in her private practice in Blackwood, NJ. 

She began my career working as the lead counselor in Camden county’s Family Crisis Intervention Unit and continued on to work as a counselor and consultant for the Gloucester Township Police Department. I also speak at conferences and trainings and have run peer supervision groups for other mental health professionals.

When she is not working,  she is usually spending my time with my husband and our three (yes, THREE!) dogs. I’m an animal lover, a coffee connoisseur, and a self-affirmed world champion in Mario Kart. I find joy in the little things in life and do my best to find laughter in every day.
