Joseph Tate is an illustrator and artist who draws inspiration from British and traditional styles and creates drawings for the Instagram age. Hailing from Nigeria, he began drawing to express his views on fashion and has since grown a business working with well known luxury brands.
Tate's love for British culture and his father's influence on dressing well have shaped his artistic style. His love of philosophy stems a conversation about the works of Roger Scruton and Thomas Carlyle, his love of Military dress meant that we discussed the beauty and masculinity within military garbs from the Zulu tribe to Victorian England, and his passion for sartoiral affairs flows through in his work and this conversation.
