This week, Colton and Brian sat down with Mark Shilling, founder and managing principal of Shilling/Crafted and a former president of the ACSA, They discuss FET reduction, the proposed TTB changes, and Mark puts the podcast on blast, which was probably long overdue. Enjoy!
Just to hammer this point home, the Craft Beverage Modernization Act reduced the excise tax from $13.50 to $2.70 per gallon for the first 100,000 proof gallons removed from bond per year. This was an effort to enact parity for craft spirits. This bill sunsets at the END OF THE YEAR, and Mark said it best: no one can afford to let this happen, so get out and do something about it! Invite your senators out, get involved, and attend the Public Policy Conference in DC this July.
