• Mid-South’s first TV shows taped in an arena setting (instead of the Irish McNeil Boys Club) start airing.
• Christmas Wrestling Star Wars at Reunion Arena "bombing" at the gate as World Class blows off the Von Erichs/Dynamic Duo program and tries to reignite the Von Erichs/Freebirds feud.
• Bruiser Brody becomes the first "Million Dollar Man" in wrestling in Texas All-Star.
• Ted Arcidi makes his WWF TV debut while the British Bulldogs make their WWF commitment firm by leaving AJPW.
