Ireland's Birth Stories

EP 44 - Georgina - One Pregnancy & Birth, Preparation & Expectations of Life as a First Time Mother

Listen Later

In the next episode I chat to Georgina who talks me through her experience with pregnancy and the birth of her little girl Rua. She had such a group of supportive women surrounding her which is so beautiful. They guided her through her preparation into motherhood and in those weeks following Rua's arrival. George wasn't opposed to having an epidural but in the end she brought her little girl into the world with the aid of her 900 song playlist, a husband who she recalls reminded her of a gym coach "breathe in, out, in, out" and the presence of two midwives who were the perfect pairing.A gorgeous light hearted chat about an experience described as "wild but good" Enjoy!
