Episode 44 continues on a recurrent theme for our podcasts, addressing the needs of our most vulnerable citizens. While our county boasts over 40 billionaires living in our community, there is a segment of our community that can easily be overlooked as they grapple with the forces of economic disparity. What I find most gratifying is the collaboration between the government and the nonprofits agencies and, perhaps more importantly, between nonprofit agencies. The issues impacting our residents often require the services of multiple agencies. Our guest, Dr Frank Marangos is Director of Development and Communications for the Salvation Army of Palm Beach County. We speak about the services offered by his agency and his efforts to work beyond his own agency to ensure their clients are getting the assistance they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a stable household.
