Herman Webster Mudgett, better known as H.H. Holmes, was one of America's first serial killers. He is believed to have killed between 20 and 200 people, many of them in a specially constructed home in Chicago that was later nicknamed the "Murder Castle."

But before Holmes became a killer, he was a con artist. He was a master of deception, and he used his skills to swindle people out of their money. He posed as a doctor, a lawyer, and a businessman, and he even married multiple women under false pretenses.

Enter Room 2008 with our special guest as she will guide us through and explore Holmes' childhood and early life. We will learn about the factors that may have contributed to his becoming a serial killer, and we will take a closer look at his con artist schemes.
