Knock-offs. Off-brands. There is often a reason that they are imitations. They often get so close, but yet so far. God doesn’t want us to be imitations of anything. He wants us to be ourselves. He created us just as He wanted us. Trying to become better versions of ourselves as we allow Him to work in us is one thing. Trying to become someone else is a horse of a different color.
