Listen Later

Episode 45 offers me an opportunity to talk with my frined, Rabbi Josh Broide. Rabbi Broide was named the first Director of Community Engagement for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, which is but one of the many hats he wears. He has served the local Jewish community in a number of presssional roles since moving to Boca Raton in 2000. He has served as Executive Director and Youth & Teen Rabbi at Boca Raton Synagogue He has also served as local Director of the Jewish Student Union and as Rabbi at Hillel of Broward & Palm Beach. Our conversation is pretty wide ranging but mostly focused on his passionate support and love of Israel and his continuing work to connect with the Jewish residents of our community. Born in Capetown South Africa, he spent his childhood in New Jersey (where he met his wife and partner, Simone) before making Boca Raton his home. He is a true "mensch" (a person of honor and integrity) and I know you'll enjoy listening to our conversation.
