Barbara Harris, is a local historian living in the area around Joshua Tree National Park. She shares the local history, folklore and legends of the Morongo Basin with visitors and other desert enthusiasts. Giant Rock and The Integratron are her passions and have been the subjects of over 30 years of research. As a former President of the Morongo Basin Historical Society she has successfully combined her business skills in advertising with her knowledge of the mysteries of the desert by putting them into detailed presentations and exhibits.
