This month we're mixing it up! Rather than focusing on various retellings of a specific tale like we usually we do, we're spending the entire month of November on just one retelling! In this episode, we start by wrapping up our final thoughts on Jack and the Beanstalk by recapping some of the recurring ideas that we found throughout the various retellings we looked at in October. We also discuss how Cassie and Drew would each retell Jack and the Beanstalk - and Drew comes up with his on the spot. Then we finally start our journey into the woods! We talk about our personal experiences discovering the 1987 musical Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. We also give a spoiler-free explanation about what the musical is about without digging in too deep. Since there are no books or movies to reveal this month, we finish by giving an episode-by-episode break down of how we're going to break down Into the Woods across November!
