Welcome back ladies and gentleman to another episode of the best podcast on all things entertainment and live events, Festival Pass Stories! This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with someone who has nearly 40 years of experience in the events space, the great Carson Tang.
Carson, a native New Yorker, never wanted to be one of the best live events planners in the world, but that’s what ended up happening. As an alumni of Brooklyn Tech High School, Carson knew that he wanted to help people in some way. The first event that he ever planned was a Battle of the Bands in his school auditorium, an idea that came to him because the space was being underutilized. From that point on, he’s been in the live events business and has delivered value and greatness ever since.
Starting in 2004, Carson Worldwide has specialized in, “experimental events, marketing, meeting, brand building, operations, and productions.” One of his biggest events, Oyster Fest, is coming back better than ever this October, and we couldn’t be more excited. Carson loves to connect with people and unlock their potential, as exhibited in his work with Power Mastery and A Hike Through Life. These events have brought so much joy to people, and have created a family-like community.
You can say that live events professionals have two things in common: they know how to identify opportunities that others may not see, and they can really get the ball rolling on what normal people may consider outrageous proposals and deadlines. Carson Tang is a guru of logistics and efficiency. It’s why he’s been trusted by corporations and brands like Nissan, Macy’s, and Estee Lauder. He’s also been able to create some of the most iconic live events that continue to strive today.
