Adam's descendants were so evil that God had to wipe them off the face of the earth they were polluting.

Noah and his family were the only humans saved: Noah walked faithfully with God.

Human beings inhabiting the 21st-century world are no better than the human beings in that world that God had destroyed.

The judgment of the inhabitants of this present world will be harsher because God had made walking with Him much easier: Jesus Christ, God's Son, had come to earth, paid the price for humanity's sin. And God had sent the Holy Spirit to teach and lead those who believe in God's Son.

Walking with God entails having a personal relationship with God's Son and being obedient to His commands which include cutting the umbilical cord with the world.
