WHO IS NATALIE?
Natalie Silverstein, MPH is an author, speaker, consultant and passionate advocate for family and youth service. Her first book, Simple Acts: The Busy Family’s Guide to Giving Back, was published in 2019 and was named as one of the Top Books for Parents Who Want to Raise Kind Kids by the HuffPost. Her second book, Simple Acts: The Busy Teen’s Guide to Making a Difference will be published in July 2022. Natalie is the New York coordinator of Doing Good Together. She curates a free monthly e-mail listing of family-friendly service opportunities that is distributed to thousands of subscribers. Natalie holds a master’s degree from Yale.
NATALIE'S CALL TO ACTION
There's no such thing as "random acts of kindness." Living our values (and role modeling these for our children and others around us) means being kind and serving others with intention, keeping eyes, ears, hearts, and minds open to the needs of others, incorporating service (however that is defined) organically into the way we walk through our days.
