How do you open your podcast episode? Everyone does it slightly different. For the Kris and Kristine Show, I had figured out how to edit audio in Audacity as in rearranging it around. That gave me an idea about how I should start the podcast episodes. As I was watching a lot of YouTube videos about my current sports car I had just purchased. On their videos they would start them with a teaser clip of something cool that happened with that video to get you hooked. So a quick teaser clip to launch the video you're about the watch. If that works for YouTube, why not bring that concept to podcasting. So on episode 1, I tried that idea. I found a short quick clip of something interesting we said on the show to put a clip of that on the very beginning of the episode to launch the listener into the episode. If you decide to make teaser clips for the start of the episode, make sure they aren't longer than maybe 10 seconds. You just need a to teaser the listener to hook them into finishing the rest of the episode. You create a loop and hook them in to finish said loop.
Then I was joined by Jackie and Danielle of the podcast No More Late Fees. It's a movie review podcast told from two ex employees of Blockbuster Video rentals. We talked about how they met and were they grew up. To the time they worked at Blockbuster. And since they are movie fans, I play my guess the movie clip game. Feel free to play along at home and see how you do too. Fun fact: All 3 of us in this interview were in 3 different states here in America. California - Texas - Florida.
