No one can question the amount of fight in the Saints PLAYERS after the way they came back to make a game of it versus the Lions, but the lack of consistency and yet another slow start on defense shines the light right back on the COACHING of this team. It was yet another week of saying "yeah, we saw some good things..." but also saying "we saw some really horrible stuff" as well. Some may say playing one of the NFC's top teams to the final possession was a "better" outcome than we thought we'd see after last week; but it's another chapter in a very predictable book. In this episode we talk about that rollercoaster of good vs. bad we saw in this one. We also talk about how this was another example of the Saints following the same model they've set up for pretty much the entire season: Playing the good teams close but still losing, and playing down to the bad teams and pulling out a win - with the exception of a few games. Was this game really one that set up a "debate" of Carr vs. Jameis? or was it a game that showed us that we really just don't have any "good" option at the QB position? Is it none of the above? We get into the team's performance against the Lions and what, if anything, we can take away from the game heading into the final weeks of the year.
