Today, we’re pleased to release all four chapel messages from the 2021 Men’s Retreat at Hidden Acres Christian Center. This episode is chapel message #3: The Need for Friendship in our Lives, and it was recorded on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The speaker was Paul Bauman, Director of Church Multiplication at the Central District of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Here’s how he summarized his chapel messages:
Men inside and outside the church know on some level they have a God-given responsibility to lead in spite of what current culture is teaching. The challenge is that most men often feel inadequate to pursue their responsibility, and these feelings of inadequacy are often grounded in misconceptions of what God requires of us as men. Let’s OVERCOME these misconceptions and pursue God’s leadership mandate for men. We’ll dig into what Scripture says about the process for spiritual victory in our lives, the role of anger in our lives, the need for friendship in our lives, and the impact of our leadership in the lives of others.
