For today’s episode of chART, we embarked on a mission to discuss how thecontemporary art world has tackled the COVID-19 situation. Half-way through it werealized that this topic is so extensive that we would barely scratch the tip of the icebergwere we to devote the next decade of episodes to it. So in order to make do with atwenty-minutes-long banter, we will funnel it down to a selection of two artworks as afollow-up to yesterday’s episode on Influenza-inspired art. The chART squad willdiscuss not only their meaning and how they relate to the latest pandemic, but also howthey act as bridges into broader (as well as unresolved, for the most part) debates in theart world.
