Guy's Story - 

He joined Toastmasters while pursuing a PhD at the Australian National University, initially drawn by curiosity and the opportunity to meet new people and improve public speaking skills. He first spoke publicly during his engineering degree and found it nerve-wracking. Despite a long gap, he rejoined Toastmasters after moving to the Blue Mountains to socialize and practice speaking. He belongs to two clubs: Glenbrook and Blue Mountains, each with unique characteristics and demographics. Toastmasters has greatly improved his public speaking confidence and skills, benefiting his professional role as a non-profit executive and enhancing personal aspects like marriage communication. He enjoys hosting table topics, drawing from his love for trivia. He recommends new members visit multiple clubs, join a committee, and participate in competitions for a well-rounded experience.
