Ep. 5: What is "peace that surpasses understanding?"

Listen Later

“And I think that's what happens in these conversations. Like reading out of our Bibles and going through the text and whatever that may be. But it's this something where I feel closer to God. We've all heard this example, like faith muscle in church, like you got to work it out. You know, your biceps get bigger when you do some curls, and your faith gets bigger when you do some faith curls. This has that effect. And  it's growing.” - Taylor

“Most of the times I felt extreme peace, are in situations where you're basically just in a stripped down to a gown. And you're getting ready for an eight, in my case, an eight to 10-hour surgery. I know it's outside of my hands like I can do nothing here. In that moment, like when all the stuff going on. I felt like I was given the grace to let go of control and worry and just be like, you’re just breathing. That's definitely the Spirit of God.” - Cory

In a world where peace is often equated with comfort, it can be challenging to find true inner tranquility amidst life's difficult challenges. In this episode, Taylor and Cory talk about how true inner peace comes only from God and offers personal experiences of finding a deeper sense of peace that surpasses understanding through faith in Christ.
