During my most recent conversation with Douglas Kennedy, I read to him a

fascinating little quote by the writer Douglas Coupland that I thought

Kennedy might find interesting. He wrote: “We are all of us born with a

letter inside us, and that only if we are true to ourselves, may we be

allowed to read it before we die.” This was his response.
