Last week, in a discussion with someone, I came to the realization that in order to become wealthy, you have to have three things.  All three are necessary - creating lasting wealth won't happen with just two out of the three AND one of them is much harder to accomplish than the other two.  This realization helped me understand why so few people become wealthy and what I can do to create and maintain wealth.
