EP. 52 | Can Discerning Lead to Danger?

Listen Later

Unfortunately, discernment gets a bad rap because, the truth is, we need it. Desperately. We need discernment when we come into contact with people who may be helpful in some areas and harmful in others. And one of the ways we grow in our ability to discern is by encountering people we may disagree with, not by automatically categorizing everyone into camps of “safe” and “dangerous” and then blasting like-minded individuals for stepping outside the lines.

Those who are truly discerning recognize truth and goodness wherever they find it. Properly understood, it’s one of God’s gifts to his people.

Can someone have a discerning spirit that warns them of dangers? Is having the spirit of discernment extremely important when negating life, work, and or career relationships?

Recently, we chop't up with Dr. Joa Macnalie on this topic. She

is a God-fearing and Multi-talented Thought leader, Generational curse-breaker, Daughter, Author, Speaker, and Fashion coach. Even so, her most treasured title is a vessel: a person with a particular quality used for a purpose. Her slogan "I am on Purpose" has impacted many of today's youths through her educational experience and writing of school-age curriculums.
