Miyuki Ishikawa was a Japanese midwife and serial killer who is believed to have murdered over 100
infants between 1947 and 1948. She was known as the "Demon Midwife" and the "Angel of Death"
because of the way she preyed on vulnerable newborns and their trusting parents. Ishikawa was
eventually arrested and convicted of her crimes, and she was sentenced to life in prison. She died in
prison in 1987.
