Ep. 52 - Small Batch Brewing in Petersham...Petersham, where the F$%K is Petersham? Building a new brewery, again, and what Andrew from Batch Brewing learned
In this episode, I paid a visit to my old mate Andrew at Batch Brewing. After a pint of my favourite WCIPA, he suggested we take a drive out the new "Small Batch" brewery at Petersham...which I of course accepted.
There has been a lot going on at Batch since we spoke last...co-founder Chris has returned to the USA but has found a way to be able to work remotely, and Andrew has been busy fulfilling the plans the boys had to start a small experimental brewery "just around the corner".
I was keen to share a beer with Andrew to find our what kind of flexibility the new venue will give them, what beers and collaborations they had on the horizon and exactly how stressful it is starting a second brewery. Even though they had done it all before, there was still a lot to learn when doing it all again.
As usual, he is pretty open and honest about what's been happening, and shares some news about a festival they are involved with, and their plans for the summer.
