Tiffany Joy Butler is an artist, filmmaker and curator. She is the founder of Hot Cabinet, a blossoming video collective. Her plays have been performed at the Wassaic Project Summer Festival and Boog City’s Arts Festival and her films have been screened at the VIA Festival, Queens Museum, the Museum of Moving Image, Index Art Center, Open Space Gallery and A.I.R. Gallery.Dedicated filmmaker, artist and educator based in New York City and the Hudson Valley with over ten years of experience instructing innovative courses and workshops in the subjects of filmmaking, game design, English language learning and museum education for adults, teens and kids. Accomplished in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students to build technical and socio-emotional skills. Expertise on designing culturally responsive, tech-integrated curriculum which increases media literacy skills; and developing content based lesson plans for advancing the fluency levels of English language learners through listening, reading, speaking and writing techniques.
