Looking back to World War Two where American women entered the workforce (in unprecedented numbers) performing jobs that, prior to that, they had been barred from, women have continued to march on and today comprise a small--but growing-- percentage of those in the skilled trades. We talk with Local #1 Ironworker Taneen Ball, Local 597 Pipefitter Arlena Camille Tucker-Hampton, and Local 73 Sheetmetal worker Tamar McCollough about what it means to be a woman in the skilled trades, today.
