This week, contributor Matt Ruby speaks with Christopher “Doc” Kelley about the intersection of Buddhism and the Fluxus art movement and how that led to his upcoming show at the Rubin Museum in NYC called ‘FluxBuddha: A Time-based Performance Art Concert.’ We’re also joined by contributor Winston Cook-Wilson to discuss the recently released movies, You Were Never Really Here (dir. Lynne Ramsay, starring Joaquin Phoenix) and A Quiet Place (dir. John Krasinski, starring Krasinski and Emily Blunt). Along the way, we’ll also hear from Radio Dispatch’s Molly Knefel with her thoughts on the ways in which crying foul about so-called “political correctness” are used not only by conservatives, but also by liberals; we’ll hear from a woman named Claire, who told us about the ways in which she has cultivated generosity in her life; and we’ll hear a song from a recent BTR Live Studio session featuring IDLES, a raucous post-punk band from Bristol, England.
Music composed by and show edited by Hansdale Hsu.
