There are 9 Prophetesses called out in the Bible. Deborah is named in Judges as one of these and was also a judge over Israel. She was not a traveling prophetess seeking followers. Judges 3 tells us that She stayed in one place near Ramah and Bethel. People came to her seeking her judgement because she heard from God. She heard from God and told the leader, Barak, to raise up 10,000 men to go up against their enemy and God would give them into his hands. Barak honored her calling on her to join him at the battle. Deborah was honored by God as He spoke through her to judge and lead His people. Pastor Todd teaches us about a powerful woman of God who was second to none.
