Shantel Mayris-Scott is a Brooklyn native, first generation Panamanian-American, Licensed Master Social Worker and Christian thought leader. 

She is the founder of Basic Teachings LLC, Strategic Therapy PLLC and United Front for Social Workers. It is her goal to help Christian leaders and Social Workers navigate their leadership journey and experience wholeness and completeness in the process. Shantel utilizes prayer, journaling, and practical biblical instructions to accomplish both her personal and professional missions. She now resides in New York with her husband and daughter.
