Our guest is Ravindra Kempaiah, a PhD student at the University of Illinois, Chicago, working in Li-ion battery materials. He is a materials researcher and completed his first MSc from the University of Waterloo, Canada and the second MSc from the University of Maryland. Ravindra also holds the current Guinness World Record for the longest journey on an electric bicycle.
We talk about his Guinness World Record, the development of energy storage in relation to the global phenomenon of climate change, how energy storage research is impacted by geo-political concerns and how nano-technology is directly tied to the advancements in the field.
