With over 50 years of service, there's not much that this 3rd generation first responder hasn't seem.  Barry Furey started his firefighting career when he was just 18 years old.  And some of the things he saw early on in his career quickly prepared him for the rest of his life.

Of course he has funny stories, dangerous stories and just downright heartbreaking stories.  But in the end, he's just a good guy that's dedicated his life to helping others.  He's also an author of two books and has contributed to numerous magazine articles.  What a wonderful treat it was to share time with Barry Furey.
