In Ep 55 - Happy Wife, Happy Life, I talk about how we find “faults” with our husbands after we marry them and begin to want to change them… basically loving a different version of them, but not them as they are.

I believe most of us have deep secrets we’ve never shared with another soul, for whatever reason, that affects deeply not just who we are but, also how we react in life to protect ourselves.

For EXAMPLE what if someone got to know you completely, even the parts of you you’re afraid others will know, and after knowing all there is to know about you, they LOVED YOU ALL THE MORE?!

Our husbands too had a childhood (and a past), just like us, with pain and suffering and we just but remembered that, would have nothing but MORE LOVE.

When you feel resentment or any other not nice feeling towards your husband, ask them to share with you things about their life that shaped them into who they are today, and how they come to fear the things they fear (our actions always come from love or fear), and I wonder if you would not be able to help but to love them EVEN MORE!

Remember, not everyone shares all their secrets all the time, due to fear, pain, regret, whatever

All of humans make mistakes and sometimes we hurt people in profound ways that makes them grow up being defensive, angry, resentful, guarded, protective of their feelings… all kinds of things – capable of hurting others before others hurt them.

Having compassion is a good policy to err on the side of.
