The youngest of eight children, Karen grew up in an active home in a small town just outside of Toronto.
Drawn to performing at an early age, Karen received her formal training through the musical theatre program at Sheridan College and after graduation by singing with several bands.

A fan of travel, Karen spent the early years of her career touring the world with the Legends show as Tina Turner while working on the many opportunities that began coming her way in film & television and on stage.

Karen has a very diverse acting resume, which includes her role as Series Lead “Cynthia Walker” on the hit CBS series RANSOM. She is currently shooting more episodes of GINNY& GEORGIA (Netflix).



She can also be seen on HBO’s fan favorite LOVECRAFT COUNTRY opposite Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett, LOST IN SPACE (Netflix) as well as her multi-season arc on DEPARTURE (Peacock/Global) opposite Archie Panjabi and the late great Christopher Plummer.


She has toured playing a Tina Turner impersonator early in her career and toured the world, even visiting the North Pole on this journey. It is what ultimately lead her to acting.



She also sings and was nominated for several awards for her performance in the Canadian drama NURSE.FIGHTER.BOY. On stage, she has appeared in theater productions of RENT, CINDERELLA and OUTRAGEOUS.



Other notable film and television credits include FRONTIER (Discovery) opposite Jason Momoa, JACK RYAN (Prime) opposite John Krasinski, DIGGSTOWN (CBC), KILLJOYS (CTV/Space), the controversial and award-winning MARY KILLS PEOPLE (Global), DEFYING GRAVITY (ABC/CTV) & the feature film ASTRONAUT with Academy Award Winner Richard Dreyfuss.
