I am a big fan of the show The Pitt which shows what happens in an ER over the spam of a whole shift. A recent episode put a pit (no pun intended) on my stomach about the risk of falling in the "I know better" trap, which all of us people leaders are constantly exposed to.

One thing that my experience in HR has taught me is that, like most things in life, people leadership is not a single thing. It is more like... trail mix! And while leading requires a combination of "flavors," deconstructing it and finding the right ratio of each element is key to making sure we, as leaders, are authentic and purposeful.
