My takeaways:
- When you are a high-achiever, you’re prone to going down the rabbit hole of things that aren’t right for you/that you aren’t meant to do because you’ve found identity and worthiness in your ability to do things well.
- “Just because you’re good at something, doesn’t mean you should do it.”
- You can’t become more of yourself - who you’re meant to be - without suffering.
- “Suffering is actually a byproduct of you moving towards wholeness.”
- You can’t ever escape the little voice inside of you; if it isn’t right for you, it isn’t right for you.
- It takes a ton of courage to be honest with ourselves and to acknowledge what we’re most afraid of.
- If you’re in an emotionally abusive relationship - especially if you’re being gaslit consistently - you will likely be completely disconnected from yourself and your intuition.
- “My ability to trust myself was almost zero.”
- Sometimes “being strong” means asking for help.
- Your intuition is a powerful tool but that doesn’t mean it magically has the “right” answers all the time; it is a compass to get you going in the right direction.
