Mark Grant is a 44-year veteran of the sports television industry.
Mark Grant is a five-time Emmy Award-winning director, and 26-year veteran of CBS Sports. In addition to his Emmy Awards, he has won three Awards for Cable Excellence, the highest honor for TV production in the cable television industry. He covers NFL and college football, college basketball, and golf. He has covered sports in ten countries and 48 states.
He is the lead director for CBS College Basketball. In his role, he directs the biggest game each week on the network. In 2023, Grant became the first person of color to ever direct a national championship in ANY major sport in America when he directed the NCAA Final Four.
A 1981 graduate in broadcast journalism from LSU, he is a member of the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication Hall of Fame and was inducted into the exclusive LSU Hall of Distinction.
