Estée Blu is a Soul, RnB, Jazz, Gospel-inspired singer-songwriter. Her music has been featured on Beats 1, COLORS (Berlin) and BBC Introducing LIVE. Only 3 years into her career she has already had recognition from NME online as well as successful performances around London and Europe supporting artists like Ward Thomas and Orchestra Boabab. In our interview, Estée delves into her artist development journey so far. She talks about her experience and learning as a Roundhouse Resident Artist and support by the MOBO Awards. Recently she's been a recipient of the Help Musicians Do it Differently Fund. We talk about what inspired her to take career more seriously and what it took for her to take the bold leap into being a full time professional musician. We also discuss what she thinks about mentoring the next generation of artists and what she believes are important values for the modern artist.
